Chinese sculptor carved 12-foot wooden statue of the champion of the Guinness Book

The art of wood carving by Zheng Chunhui has mastered in full. Four years were spent by the master to a large piece of wood to make the bas-relief. Impressive, of course, is not the sheer scale of the work, but the precision with which made every detail.





The basis of the work Zhеng Chunhui, a famous panorama "along the river during the day Tinmine", which was established in the 12th century at the court of the song dynasty. The Qingming festival is a popular Chinese holiday, all souls ' day.





During the existence has created a lot of variations on this theme, some paintings are so massive that they reach 5-6 meters in length, there is even an 11-metre version, which was able to display about 4000 people. Zheng Chunhui is quite cautious about the creation of his version of the film: it changed nothing, but rather tried to preserve the spirit of ancient China.



Wooden "canvas" from Zheng Chunhui tells about the life of rich and poor from a small town. The sculptor created all the way down to the smallest of details such as tiny houses, boats and even 550 miniature human figures.
