There is a village where you can kill tourists
Panmunjom village located in the demilitarized zone of Korea. This is the only tourist destination where tourists must sign a statement that they acknowledge and take full responsibility for "injury or death that may occur as a result of enemy action."
This 4-kilometer strip of land in Korea is the most militarized region in the world: mines, fire structures, antitank weapons and barbed wire are only a few "sights", which you can see here.
1 km East of the abandoned village is almost all plot of land, where both sides occasionally meet for discussions and exchanges. Although most of the time soldiers just look at each other across the border.
Soldiers can't cross a certain line in 1976 because of the so-called Incident of the murder with an ax. Then two American soldiers were killed with an axe by North Korean soldiers, when the Americans just wanted to cut the tree.
One of the attractions of Panmunjom – trip to the blue one-storey building, where regularly meet with the representatives of both parties. The table, covered with green velvet, stands on the border line and the cables of the microphones that are in the middle of the table, consider the international border.
Tourists are warned that they are not looking at the soldiers and did not show them any gestures that may not please them. On a visit to the village there is a strict dress code. You cannot wear blue jeans, shorts or any provocative clothing.
