How different countries are fighting with snow

Iceland
Iceland – the country with the happiest of communal services, as, despite the fact that snow falls a lot, clean it here without the use of technology and people. For heating the road surface in Iceland, uses water from geothermal sources – roads along streets extend the network of pipes that carry heat as well in the home and office. It turns out that the thermal energy during transport does not disappear from them in vain.

Finland
In this rather snowy country has no geothermal sources, and utilities need to sweat in order to ensure traffic safety in winter and to clear the streets from snow drifts. Especially in difficult times, when snow falls very much that it can't remove on their own, some responsibilities shift to ordinary citizens who need to clear snow in the surrounding areas of their houses.

Germany
In most parts of Germany the snow falls a little, and cleaning can handle a few janitors. But there are regions like the Alps, where the snow quite a lot, and public utilities it is necessary to sweat. Part of the work is done citizens are required to clear the surrounding areas from their homes. They do it quite well, because in Germany there is a law that obliges you to compensate for the damage to the one who broke a leg or hand on your slippery sidewalk.
