Sun valley: installation of paper and wood from the creative Duo from Brooklyn

American artists Wade kavanaugh (Kavanaugh Wade) and Stephen B. Nguyen (Stephen B. Nguyen) for the past nine years working together. The result of this creative Union began numerous three-dimensional installations out of paper and other organic materials.

Fruitful cooperation of the Brooklyn artists lasts since 2005. According to the Duo, they work together incredibly productive. It allowed them to better understand their own goals and to articulate concepts such as memory, perception and imagination. Experiments that kavanaugh and Nguyen's suit in the course of the work, the discussions they lead – all this allows artists to look at the wider process of creativity and realize that each of them would never allow themselves within their own art practices.

Paper is the main material with which to work kavanaugh and Nguyen. It allows the artists almost nothing to limit your imagination: of the paper was made by glaciers, played the bottom of the ocean during a storm, recreated the forest. One of the most interesting joint projects of artists – an installation "Sun valley" (Sun Valley). And this installation, also completely made of natural materials: in the course went paper and wood. "Sun valley" is an attempt to reproduce the age-old forest with intertwined trunks of the mighty trees. Surprisingly, this giant object blends into the gallery space.

Stephen B. Nguyen was born in the town of little falls (Little Falls), currently the artist lives and works in Brooklyn. In 2002 he received a master's degree in "painting" at the University of Victoria is a large research University located in the city of Victoria, British Columbia in Canada (University of Victoria, British Columbia). Wade kavanaugh was born in Portland. In 2001, the future artist received a bachelor's degree in Economics at Bowdoin College (Bowdoin College), private, liberal arts University of Brunswick, Maine. Currently lives and works between Brooklyn and the town of Albany township (Albany Township). The designers of "Numen/For Use", like a creative Duo from Brooklyn, work together to create unusual installations. For his interactive installations in the open air, reminiscent of a giant spider web, they used a special strong tape. Adhesive tape were wound around the pillars, beams and trees, which served as the basis of design. Interestingly, the interactive brand installation: the confusing tunnels, you can safely move, for both children and adults.
