In the United States of America decided to actively develop one more direction of sustainable development of the community. Top officials said that in the near future a number of state benefits will get the innovative wooden construction, which has several advantages in comparison with other technologies of construction of buildings.
The head of the U.S. Department of agriculture Tom Vilsack noted that the tree in the form of building material that combines a number of unique characteristics. Despite the fact that it is one of the oldest building materials, modern technologies make it one of the most modern.
It is important for American conditions and the fact that the market logging and wood processing in the country is based mainly on rural areas. This allows to significantly expand this sector, which now employs more than a million employees, organizing private construction tenders and similar activities aimed at improving the competitiveness of wood construction.
Another point that deserves attention in the prospects for wood construction, according to Mr. Vilsak is its environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. Priority there is the renewability of the resource base, which is a reasonable approach in the matter of planting new forests, will virtually eliminate the possibility of exhaustion of this resource. And the fact that the tree has excellent insulating properties, only adds to the advantages of this material, thanks to the reduced energy consumption of such buildings significantly less impact on the environment.
At first, the US government plans to encourage scientific research aimed at creating innovative technologies of multi-storey wood construction. But after having developed a sufficient base of typical projects the vector of state aid will be offset by their massive implementation in all regions of the United States of America.
