Now Madrid have joined universal new trend on the joint use of bicycles. Madrid decided to become more environmentally friendly city, so it was decided to organize a Bicycle program, a Bicycle rental service. Dubbed BiciMad, the program is similar to programs in Barcelona, London and Paris, where passengers can rent an electric bike in order to ride it around town. The program will include 1,500 bikes at 120 bike stations located all over the city.





Spanish firm BonoPark now busy building test stands and installations for bicycles, the amount is estimated at $ 35 million. The city said the program is part of a larger billion plan for traffic management, which will also add 37 miles of bike lanes to the streets of Madrid. In other cities of Spain such as San Sebastian already has an electric bike program, but for Madrid, this programme will be the first.





Each bike will be equipped with a small engine which will help the cyclist to pedal, helping to overcome long distances. While there is no information about the cost of renting a Bicycle, but the program will be ready to launch on may 1.
