In Ukraine will build a new solar plant with a capacity of 4.21 MW

The national Commission carrying out regulation in the sphere of energy (NERC) on Thursday decided to give the company a license for production of electricity.

The local Board of Teplodar in 2012 identified "Teplodar Peavy" on terms of lease for 25 years land area of 8.5 hectares for the construction and operation of solar power plants. The company annually transfers to the local budget of nearly 300 thousand UAH rent for the land.

As reported, at different stages of realization in Ukraine there are more than 100 construction projects of solar power plants of total power over 1380 MWt. Such objects are building companies from Portugal, Germany, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Israel, as well as local developers.

In the Odessa region implemented 12 projects for the construction of heliopower station with total installed capacity of 260 MW.

According to the Association of market participants of alternative fuels and energy of Ukraine, investment in the development of solar energy for January-June 2013 amounted to more than EUR 360 million, as a result, total installed capacity of solar power plants commissioned in six months, made up of 167.7 MW — more than all of 2012 (130,5 MW).

Ukraine in recent years actively developing renewable energy to improve energy security and strengthen energy independence and to solve local problems of energy supply, reducing harmful impact of energy on the environment.
