In the Komi Republic are moving to biofuels

The Republic has developed a comprehensive plan for the development of bioenergy.

In the first phase 2014-2016 assumes partial replacement of coal fuel briquettes,

as well as the implementation of pilot projects for the transfer of a portion of the boiler fuel chips.

In the second phase (2016-2020) proposes to conduct a massive reconstruction of boilers with their transfer

for biofuels to start using logging residues and build a system for providing fuel to the private sector.

Recycling waste is the solution of environmental problems, the launch of the new equipment, new jobs.

The briquettes will not be more expensive than coal, and it is the economic benefits, including for each

of the residents, — said Alexander Makarenko, Chairman of the Committee of the state Council of the Komi Republic on natural resources, environment and ecology.
