Wooden eco cottage in a pine forest

Architect Max Holst built a wooden cottage on one of the Islands of the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. The natural surroundings of the area where the house is located is typical for this area — massive granite outcroppings, tall pine forest with mushrooms and berries. The building stands on stilts along the exit of the rock, and includes a living room, dining room, kitchen and several bedrooms. On the Southeast side of the house is a spacious covered terrace. External and internal finishing is made using natural materials in a simple color palette that reflects the local architectural tradition.
