Israeli engineers introduced a robot-sapper
Scientists from Israel managed to develop a robot-sapper, the main task of which is to clear roads in autonomous mode. The unique system is called SAHAR.
Experts from several companies took part in the development of SAHAR. In particular, the creation of the robot was made by specialists of the Israeli company “Aviation Industry” (TAA), the Israeli engineering bureau “Watairpoll” and the branch of the defense corporation “QinetiQ” from the UK.
It is reported that a unique robot-sapper was created for the needs of engineering troops. It can not only clear the area, but also dismantle concrete barriers and even neutralize any explosive installations. In addition, the robot simultaneously with these tasks makes a map of the terrain on which it follows.
It is worth noting that the control is carried out both at the expense of the remote control unit built into the robot, and with the help of the autonomous maneuvering module, which allows it to perform tasks independently, without human participation. However, for this he will need an accurate route scheme.
