This woman is literally in love with the beauty of the world and tries to convey this beauty to us. These wonderful pictures of a brown bear spending time warming up were taken by Marina Cano in the Cabarceno National Park in Cantabria, Spain.

The photographer devoted three years of his life to a project that resulted in a book called Cabarceno. Cabarceno is the largest natural park and wildlife reserve in Europe. Gaja Kano doesn’t just photograph animals in their natural habitat, she captures the most extraordinary moments in their lives.

I often visit Cabarceno National Park and see brown bears in it, but this was the first time I saw a bear that behaved in this way. It seemed that the young bear was fond of Pilates. He sat stretching his leg muscles for 15 to 20 minutes and seemed to like it a lot, Marina recalls.

Brown bears (Latin Ursus arctos) can live in the wild for about 30 years. They are most often found in the regions of Russia, India, China, the United States and in the Carpathians (Ukraine). In Western Europe, its population is fragmented, mainly found in the Pyrenees, the Cantabrian Mountains (Cabarceno Reserve), the Alps and the Apennines. In Finland, the brown bear is declared a national animal.

Spanish photographer Marina Cano sometimes discovers things that other people don’t notice. You are often amazed when you see how in her pictures animals show feelings that are inherent in what we thought only man: childhood curiosity and spontaneity, parental love and care, touching tenderness and motherly love. All this is reflected in her photographs.

Thanks to the works of Marina Kano, you understand how much similarity between animals and humans. According to the photographer, people increasingly do not notice anything around them. They lose their sense of compassion, and animals die because of human callousness. Nature continues to be destroyed to satisfy consumer needs.

Cabarceno National Park is home to more than a hundred species of animals from five continents of the Earth. The Cabarceno Reserve is designed for educational, cultural, scientific and recreational purposes. It has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in Northern Spain.
