Everyone knows that one of the most important skills for a sniper is the ability to “merge” with the environment. They hide at a good distance from the intended target and make your shot while remaining inconspicuous.

In real life, the sniper, the last good preparation can survive alone in the wilderness for several weeks. They dig small pits – the “nest” as they call them, and wait for the right opportunity to shoot at a target that sometimes is at a distance of more than a kilometer from them.

Artist Simon Menner received permission some time to watch the snipers of the German army. He took a few pictures of the shooters that are so well merged with the background, so to detect them in the photos is not so easy. Try it for yourself.
