Intense exercise is useful after heart transplantation
As reported by Danish scientists, high-intensity exercise better help patients after heart transplantation to achieve higher levels of physical activity and better control of pressure than exercise of moderate intensity.
Researchers at the University of Copenhagen have studied people who received a new heart: what is the impact on them of interval training high intensity. Studies have shown that high intensity exercise for several minutes at close to your maximum heart rate, safe and more effective than moderate exercise in different groups of patients with heart disease.
Doctors have compared the effects of 12-week interval training of high intensity with continuous moderate exercise in 16 stable patients after heart transplantation, who were living with their new heart for more than one year. The author of the observations Christian Dall said the new data suggests that recipients benefit from such training is significantly more than from the moderate training that has been recommended so far.
