This is Marina and Alexander Owls and their two children, who decided to live in the suburbs they like more than in the city. The village they found a long time ago, there live their friends, their country and so they spent almost every summer weekend.
But the house had difficulties: "We went to exhibitions, trying to choose a house on the directories — I can't say that we didn't like, but something was not", — says Marina Owl. The first thing that catches the eye — the angularity of the house, its complex design. But much of it is dictated by the desire to most effectively organize the space and make the building energy efficient by the architecture.
After all, with a total area of 207 sq. m. Green Balance is very compact, because it is stretched up. Compared to building the same area of the house Green Balance is less than the area of the wall means less heat is given to the air. In addition, these walls are oriented correctly. Two solid walls facing West and East: they stand in the way of sunlight to accumulate heat and release it during the day in the room.

Insulation on all fronts
Perhaps most important in ensuring the efficiency of a home is the insulation. It is in the surface of buildings and for each selected his combination of wall material and the type of stone wool Rockwool.

On the first floor also features a heated floor, which, say the owners, some days is enough for whole house heating: warm air rises from the first floor to the top. On each floor also are the radiators, the heating can be adjusted.
Do not forget the architects and about ventilation. On the one hand, the house is arranged so that it is easy to do and natural ventilation, but there is a Green Balance ventilation system with heat recovery in winter: the warm air leaving the house heats fresh cold, which the house runs.
