The group of volunteers consisted of young people between 18 and 30 years. During the experiment, they rated photos on a scale of emotional impact. The same pictures with the addition of new showed up 12 hours later.
The effect in two groups was different. The first group slept in the interval between screenings and the other is not. Those who slept, better perceived and remembered pictures than those who did not sleep.
Scientists say that after sleeping people to cope better emotions, perceived sleep, but better remember the details of the experience. So they are convinced that sleep is simply necessary for the modern man, as it has a positive effect on the nervous system.
