Train New Tube for London — the future of the London underground Bashny.Net

Underground metro tunnels may be dark and frightening — but the trains that travel on them does not necessarily have to follow their example. Autonomous compositions, which you can see in the picture is the new residents of the London underground, which the city plans to put underground in the next ten years.





Train New Tube for London is a collaboration between design Studio PriestmanGoode and Transport for London project. And they are not abstract concepts – they really planned to launch in 2022.

In contrast to the currently used trains, they will allow passengers to move freely from car to car, and their doors are much wider to ease movement during peak hours. Also inside the trains are air-conditioned and electronic displays for passenger information and display advertising. But perhaps the biggest change will be that they will be Autonomous.





Transport for London plans to build 25 new trains that will serve city routes in the near future. They will require only minor maintenance, and will work 24 hours a day for the next 30 years.
