Ultra-flexible car for megacities EOscc2

Sometimes on the market of electric vehicles appear very amusing concept cars, for example, Nissan Pivo 2, and NASA Modular Robotic Vehicle with all four wheels can turn 90 degrees, so the vehicles can go literally sideways. And recently this company joined another prototype on electricity, EO smart connecting car 2 or abbreviated EOscc2.

Created by a team of engineers from the German Research center for artificial intelligence, EOscc2 positioned them as "ultra-flexible micro-car for megacities". The machine is equipped with four electric motors power 4 kW (for one on each wheel) that operates from a 54-volt lithium-phosphate-iron battery.

EOscc2 also boasts stereoscopic front and rear cameras, sensors, potentiometers, system of LIDAR and six 3D cameras to determine run time. All these sensors are linked to an onboard computer and provide Autonomous Parking and other functions inherent to the car driver's assistant.

The team expects that the further development of technology will create fully self-driving electric cars EOscc2 and also to form the so-called road trains for making long and distant trips. According to engineers, thanks to the joint use of batteries and also by reducing wind resistance, cars, these trains will spend much less energy than an Autonomous movement.

One of the distinguishing features EOscc2 is the ability to rotate the wheels 90 degrees, allowing you to Park the car in narrow and tight spaces. Moreover, the cabin EOscc2 can be lifted, wherein the chassis is shortened about a meter, about the same as in the experimental car the Armadillo-T. Well, another interesting feature EOscc2 is the ability to rotate on the spot and drive diagonally.

In the video below demonstrates the features of the new electric car.published
