This house was falling apart, and the woman was threatened with a fine, until someone started to secretly fix it
Ann Glancy (Anne Glancey), the former retired teacher, grew up in the house, inappropriate for which she was threatened with a fine from the urban community. As much as 3 thousand dollars a day until it can make repairs and cleaning on the site. Unfortunately, Anne had no means, no family or friends ready to help in difficult times. She was desperate, but one day something happened which was totally unexpected.
Anne saw young people, repairing her house! "Good elves" were Adam and Christine Polhemus — her neighbors who moved to the city of Hamilton, new Jersey, 5 years ago.
They became friends with Anne, and the boys very worried about her embarrassing situation. Many times they offered assistance, but proud and unsociable Ann immediately changed the topic. This summer, the young couple decided to take matters into their own hands.
Instead of having to go to rest on nature, they called friends and neighbors to help Ann with the house.
Had a lot of work: volunteers worked every weekend all summer long to bring Ann's house in proper form.
Soon Ann is accustomed to life in isolation, began to open in communicating with their good helpers. She was baking them a carrot cake and brought it to orange juice.
By the end of summer the house was repaired and painted, and the grass plot trimmed. The house of Ann is completely transformed.
As Anne, who managed to make friends with all the volunteers.
She no longer faces a fine from the urban community.
The work done was estimated by experts approximately in $ 10-15 thousand, but it was done for free by people with huge hearts.
"I think the most important thing is the happiness of our neighbor Ann and restoration of its tranquillity," said one of the volunteers who forever changed the lives of lonely older women.
