Maybe I don't know you

Victor Shendrik

Maybe I don't really know
The one and only live?
Is it any wonder – still fly,
Not even in a dream, and reality.

Still I land coward
And in defiance of petty fate
I gave you poetry and soul
Rich and I all gave you.

Did not know crazier flight
Over the yawning blackish days
Dedicating taken height
Bright-eyed grace.

There wings! I livery groom
Tried on with a smile in his mustache.
Maybe I just invented you,
Blinded just heaven?
