Scientists have found that dogs understand everything we tell them
Did you know that these animals can learn a language and to perceive it as pronunciation and intonation? We are in the Website I want to share with you an interesting discovery.
Describing their findings in the journal Science, the researchers show that dogs use the same area of the brain for word recognition that people.
For the study 13 Pets were trained to lie still inside an MRI scanner while they listened to the voices of their owners.
The dogs heard the words of praise spoken with a positive tone, the same words with neutral intonation and then the same thing, only with neutral words.
It turned out that the left hemisphere is able to distinguish the meaning of words regardless of their inflections. This means that dogs can distinguish words in the hearing — both positive and neutral — with any intonation and to understand their meaning.
At the same time, the area of the right hemisphere is responsible for the understanding of intonation and how to be emotionally complements the perceived words.
One of the authors of the study, Andics Atilla (Atilla Andics) explained: this study shows that a dog's brain not only analyzes what we say and how we do it, but combines two types of information to convey a single meaning."
So talk often with your pet, it's a great listener.
