The double-headed eagle on the Russian coins - no coat of arms and the symbol of the Bank of Russia

In pre-revolutionary Russia on one side of the coins minted national emblem in the form of a two-headed eagle. In Soviet times, the coat of arms was another, but to secure for this side of the name "Eagle" has not disappeared. In today's Russian ruble coins again placed two-headed eagle, but this is not the coat of arms, but only a symbol of the Bank of Russia - the wings of this eagle dropped, while the stamp eagle is depicted with their wings, and with a scepter and orb.
