Best practice for a happy life, which almost nobody uses

A recent survey, which was attended by 5,000 people, showed a close relationship between self-acceptance and happiness. It seems to be logical, but there is one "but": self-acceptance, unfortunately, is very rare.

Respondents were asked to rate themselves on a scale from one to ten for ten habits, considered the most important for personal happiness. All the questions in the questionnaire were quite common, for them the person can not say anything with certainty. The survey found that almost no one even tries to accept himself as he is, why happiness "sum" is much smaller.

Psychologist Jeremy Dean says the following about this:

«The survey showed that one of the most important conditions for happiness - it is self-acceptance. However, this category has received the lowest rating - almost no one practiced this habit ».

blockquote> Why is there this discrepancy? Head movement «Action for Happiness» (eng. "Action for Happiness"), Mark Williamson, said:

«The Company has on people a lot of pressure, forcing us to strive for success and constantly compare yourself with other people - this is the reason for the unhappiness and anxiety. The survey results remind us that if we could accept ourselves as we are, it would probably be much happier ».

blockquote> However, Christopher Bergland from the magazine "Psychology Today" notes that it is important to understand the difference between self-acceptance and apathy:

«There is a sort of paradox between the faith that you - a great guy, so be positive, and the belief that you are perfectly normal, as an excuse for their own inaction. It is important to determine what traits and habits, what kind of lifestyle you currently quite satisfied, and take them, and at the same time to understand what you yourself do not like, and what you want to change, and then take that too and work over themselves to get better. One should admit to himself that he is in fact it represents, and to understand that he, like all the others, is not perfect, but much better in yourself ».

blockquote> Try not to be too strict judge yourself and always remember that one of the best ways to be happy - is to stop struggling so try to be.
