This is a rare spectacle was captured on camera in Antarctica. It is not every day you see ...

Recently in Antarctica it was sealed a unique spectacle in the ocean waters drifted inverted iceberg. Typically glaciers white because they consist of a compressed snow, which reflects the visible light rays. But if snowflakes are compressed by high pressure or frozen saltwater gap between them disappear, thereby affecting the surface reflection.

Red and yellow wave solar spectrum absorbed by the ice, but the blue disperse. Some of these waves is visible to us as the blue that we usually associate with clean seawater (although underwater microorganisms can give it a greenish tint).

The same thing happens with frozen water in the absence of air. Most often this phenomenon occurs in the lower part of the large old icebergs. Typically, this spectacle is hidden from our view, and it can be seen only by diving deep into the icy waters - quite unpleasant activity even in the presence of special equipment.

Sometimes, however, there are cases where the icebergs overturned during a storm, opening our eyes what is normally hidden under the water. Directed by Alex Cornell was fortunate to not only see this phenomenon with his own eyes, but also to make a series of remarkable pictures that everyone can admire today.

Still, nature does not cease to surprise us. This iceberg is more like a decoration to any fi movie than a glacier. Alex Cornell were very lucky to stumble upon such a spectacle.
