40 tons of fish surfaced in the Mexican lake Bashny.Net

Fishermen living on the lake Kahititlan in Jalisco have discovered a huge number of dead fish, called "popocha." Weight supernatant of fish is estimated at 40 tons.

Such massive fish kills have occurred on this lake before. In 2014 the lake was raised and destroyed more than 100 tons of fish. Local authorities are investigating the incident. It is assumed that the cause of death of fish could be draining waste water into the lake from a nearby factory, as well as the lack of oxygen in the lake due to the large number of inhabitants in it.
