Specialist managed to get a fingerprint on the German Defense Minister photos

Information Security Specialist Ian Krissler, also known as Starbug, at the last conference in Hamburg Chaos Computer Club, made a report, from which it follows that he was able to get the thumbprint German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen using a photograph taken by an ordinary camera, and using open-source software. Krisller known fact that he was able to deceive identification system TouchID in the iPhone 5S after 48 hours after you leave your smartphone on the market.

Photo Minister Leyen was made at a press conference with the help of "normal camera" from a distance of about three meters - this picture was the chief. In addition to his Krissler used several other photos that played a supporting role, and which were made at different times and from different angles. Photo editing software was used for commercial biometric identification VeriFinger (available 30-day SDK for Windows, Linux and OS X).

Krissler says that "appear to politicians during public appearances have to wear gloves," but the exact technical details of the process has not led. It is also difficult to understand whether it has any relation to the company, which develops commercial VeriFinger, which was used.
