In December 2009 marked the 30th anniversary of the Soviet troops entered Afghanistan 15 years of war in Chechnya.
In both conflicts, special units - Special Forces - played a crucial role.
Elite armed forces of the Soviet Union and Russia, intelligence, and special anti-terrorist units most effectively worked in Afghanistan,
in Chechnya and other hot spots of our country as well as abroad. These photographs - part of a multimedia documentary photo project "Special Forces Veterans country."
The project, which included portraits of three generations of veterans (the eighties - the two thousandth) of three special forces:
GRU, the KGB-FSB and MVD, emerged as a retrospective, through which you can look at thirty segment of our recent history.
