Author Vessyl project a few years ago, being a graduate of Queen's University in the specialty «biomedical computing», conceived to create your own gadget with the "Internet of things". If you use Vessyl constantly throughout the day, the cup is how often you drink, predicting the level of hydration of the owner. Many of us use less liquid than you need, so Vessyl can monitor the consumption of water, accustoming man to take the right amount of fluid per day. Of course, there is some complexity - it will not be the same in the cafe / bar (the cup, by the way, "knows" and determines many beers) to use his mug. Nevertheless, the idea is quite interesting.

As mentioned above, the cup transmits all the data on your smartphone, in a special supplement. It is, among other functions, and defines the data on hydration according to their own (proprietary) method. In the calculations used weight, height of the owner, as well as some other options that are introduced at the beginning of the work with the application.



Now the developer is in talks with companies producing different kinds of fitness trackers, in order to increase the chances Vessyl.

Author collects preorders on his creation, at a price of 99 US dollars. Shipment of orders is scheduled for early 2015. After the first period will be open the possibility of direct orders, but at the price of $ 199.
