The problem of increasing the speed of the zombies

Studies have shown that the rate of movement of zombies in films nonlinearly increases from year to year.
Take for example the classic zombie thriller George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" (1978). Look closely at the zombies - they could barely move. In the movie "The Day of the Dead", filmed 30 years later (2008), the zombies move at speeds about 10 times as large. Obtained in experimental screenings data presented in Figure 1

From the analysis should be a disappointing conclusion: run away from the zombies for 10 years as useless, but still can beat them by car or motorcycle.
It is obvious that for these thirty years for unclear reasons, while the rate of zombies rose order. Extrapolating the trend suggests that zombies at this stop will not. As a first approximation, the study of this issue was used parabolic approximation of the speed zombies depending on the year:
Where V - velocity of zombies in km / h, x - a year. According to this formula, the first zombie broke the sound barrier in 2069. By 2821 we can expect that zombies made the first cosmic velocity, and will discover the solar system.
In AD 521 593 the speed of light reaches the zombies, by the time they need to fully capture our galaxy (the size of about 100,000 light-years) and begin to explore the nearby galactic systems.
Tragic mistake
However, recent studies have found an inaccuracy in the constructions. What if the relationship is not parabolic? Non-linear regression, it was found that the most plausible option is given by:
Where as V - velocity of zombies, x - a year where by simple calculations can be deduced that the speed of the zombies will be endless in 2012 (see. Figure 3). It is obvious that the ancient Mayans were well aware of this relationship and decided not to pursue further their calendar, knowing that the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
So, resistance is futile! And if you suddenly encounter a zombie - by all means try not to cross his path, or in a few microseconds, you replenish your body ultra-high ranks of the undead.
