Nothing, if I "trifle"?

For the 150th anniversary, which marks the central bank in June this year, will be released four types of commemorative coins. Two silver, three, and 25 rubles. And two golden - par value of 50 rubles and 50 thousand. At the same time one of the coins - 50000th of metal 999-carat - unique. It weighs 5 kilograms. This is the first of its kind in weight and coin denominations in the country. Until now, the largest weight was considered a commemorative coin in 3 kilograms. Luntovsky said that initially the Central Bank is not a joke even swung to produce 150-pound coin. But it later emerged that the idea does not correspond to the possibilities - in the country there was no specific weights. But in the future commemorative coins heavyweights in Russia yet appear. Russian 5-pound "baby" has released an edition of 25 pieces. They already are in stock. Total circulation is projected to reach 50 units, depending on demand. By the way, the first buyer of a unique coin was the Central Bank itself. He bought for two coins in his own museum. How much went to the Central Bank of its own coins, Luntovsky did not speak, citing trade secrets and market conditions. He only said that the coins will be released on the market, that is realized through commercial banks starting from 13 June 2010. By the way, according to him, in the first quarter of the Central Bank to commercial banks sold 54 thousand pieces of gold coins with a total weight of 600 kilograms. This is 10 percent of last year's edition. Asked by journalists whether the reduced thus the demand for gold, Luntovsky said that demand for precious metals is always elastic. And now again increased due to the rise in gold prices.

By the way, to give a unique gold coin Central Bank no one assumes, since this would have to buy them. "Personally, I buy such a coin would not - said Luntovsky. - The problem of where to store it and that it continue to do, but demand among collectors it is most likely to use. "
