Little boy with a protuberance on the back, like a turtle shell, which because of bullies called him "boy-turtle", conducted an operation that could change his life.

Eight-year Maymaiti Khali (Maimaiti Hali) from the Chinese province of Xinjiang, surgeons removed the build-up during a two-hour operation. Doctors say they have used the boy's skin caught on the head and legs to plant it in the place where the build-up removed.
The boy's father said: "We were told that the operation is not possible when he was a kid, so we waited. But the build-up increased, hardened and became like a tortoise shell "
