Kyle slid on a skateboard with a steep mountain near Salt Lake City. Once on the mound, the young man made a dizzying leap and landed on his head. Unfortunately, making a risky descent, he was not wearing a helmet. His skull was fractured in more than 10 locations, and doctors gave him only a five percent chance of survival.
