Czechoslovak top or volchak and Wolfdog Czech volfhund.
Czech wolf dog belongs to a new breed of guard dogs. Outwardly, and some of the major traits of the dog is very reminiscent of the wolf.
Has an independent character, if necessary, can work in a school or easily change the daily activity at night. Sufficient training, are able to make decisions without human control. All these dogs are used for quality service in army units or search service people, things. Also possible to use as a sled dogs. Interestingly their way to communicate: they rarely bark, howl more frequently.
The intellectual father of the breed is considered Karel Hart, who worked in the Kennel Libeёviche (Czech Republic). He decided to cross the wild Carpathian Wolf German Shepherd to get perfect in all respects to the military dog. As planned Hart, its main advantages were to be in excellent health, extraordinary ability and not too large. The first breeding occurred in 1955, unfortunately, failed. There have been repeated matings, also unsuccessful, and only in 1958 were born puppies. The experiments confirmed the possibility of such dogs have healthy children in cases where the father is a wolf, and the mother of Shepherd and vice versa.
During the selection of selected hardy puppies, distinguished wit and attention, learning ability. The third and fourth generation of a new breed of dogs have been used in the service of the military. In 1982, the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is recognized as a national breed in Czechoslovakia, and in 1999 formed the standard FCI.
Representatives of the Czech Wolfdog slightly above average growth, strong physique. In appearance and movements are reminiscent of a wolf.
The head is proportional to the body, more like a wolf.
Movement amble soft, with a light step. Coat the line tight. There are winter and summer coat. In winter, dominated by thick undercoat all over the body.
The color varies from yellow-gray to silver-gray shades with a remarkable light mask. Hair color light is on breast, in its front part and on the inner side of the neck. Chance of a dark gray color dog with a light mask.
Dogs temperaments and extremely hardy (his graceful trot without a break can run up to 100 kilometers at a speed of about 12 km / h), respond well to training, but freedom-loving. In the standard self-educating them is almost impossible to achieve complete subordination. Therefore, the owner must be an experienced, trained in terms of communication with the dogs, man. Beginners and children with this kind of temperament will not cope.
Distinguished for his bravery and courage, speed of reaction. Very loyal to the family, considering it as a pack, so easy on the children and puppies. But distrustful of strangers and a stranger animals, although with four-legged residents of their families get along perfectly. They know how to recognize the request of the owner, watching his facial expressions and gestures perfectly capture its mood and behave accordingly. They love human attention. If found several dogs, they get along very well with each other.
Wolfdog - gregarious dog loose morals, it is impossible to keep on a chain or in a long solitude. In this case, it becomes aggressive and uncontrollable. It can live on the street and in the apartment. Thick coat allows you to endure adverse weather conditions.
Since the dog perfectly developed instinct, while walking must be permanent control of its behavior. I like the deal with the Czechoslovak Wolfdog dog sports - agility, and even running for a mechanical rabbit.
Males tall at the shoulder about 65 cm, females slightly smaller - 60 centimeters. Weight males usually within 26 kg, females - 20 kilograms.
PS I'm not sure that someone dares to keep a dog in the city
but beautiful!
