Domestic cat named Murka saved its owner from death by fire in Bashkiria, told RIA Novosti on Friday, the central board of the regional Emergency Situations Ministry.
The incident occurred last night in the village Malomaksyutovo Ishimbaisky region: in a private house sparkled makeshift electric heater, the fire started.
"At this time the owner of the house was asleep. According to him, he was awakened by a cat named Murka when already in the room burned the furniture and floor. The animal jumped on the man's chest and began to beat his legs, "- told the agency.
First peasants attempt to extinguish the fire, but in vain. Then he left the cat at the hands of the house and call the fire department. The burning house was extinguished by the rescue workers and volunteers.
