Deputies of the State Duma of the party "United Russia" and "Fair Russia" Alexander Sidyakin and Mikhail Markelov appealed with an official letter to FIFA with a request to dismiss the US team to participate in the World Cup 2014 and to deprive the country's membership in FIFA. The reason for this, according to lawmakers, is the US aggression in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya, as well as an attempt to invade Syria.
Deputy Alexander Sidyakin explained that this letter is a response to the appeal of Republican Senators Mark Kirk and Dan Coates, who had previously asked FIFA to deprive the Russian team the right to play in the FIFA World Cup Brazil.
