Beauty landscape of New Zealand
Writes blogger and traveler Sergey Dolya: From Auckland we went to the Tongariro Park - the oldest national park in the country. It was in fact the first full day in New Zealand. Each of us had his own idea of New Zealand and it was very interesting, whether it aligns with reality.
It always happens in the mountains. The first day of filming every slope and admire every crease. Everybody is trying to take a picture, and a couple of weeks already going by much more beautiful mountains, but the camera does not get it - and used to satisfy his first photographic hunger. So the first day we shot all the hills that we come across on the road and all of a small town:
The roads in New Zealand are very petlyavye. The whole country is wrinkled mountains and virtually no plains. Steep turns not only tag pointers, but also recommendations for the high-speed cornering. Moreover, this rate is always ends with five drivers to not confuse it with a speed limit on the highway. It is very convenient - you look at the recommended speed, and you know what will turn over the hill:
Another of the interesting observations - batteries at traffic lights in remote sections of the route (in the yellow box):
With regard to the road as a whole - though they are quality, but very twisty. Long way exhausting. On the road, you do not esteem - begins to rock:
One of the most famous places in New Zealand Waitomo cave complex in the North Island. The main feature of these caves thousands of fireflies that cover the vaults. Looking at them the impression that you look at the starry sky:
The cave entrance is equipped and looks as a model of contemporary architecture:
Unfortunately, it does not remove the inside even without flash (which I was very annoyed), so I had to take pictures silently with his chest. In dim light conditions, it is able to work and do not reflect the image of the beauty that awaits visitors:
The cave is completely "inhabited by" person, even on the floor tiled:
Here you can see a few fireflies:
In fact, in many places the cave where thousands of fireflies. That's how it looks (Photo from the Internet):
At first the cave lead foot, then put on a boat and ride on the underground lake. Please observe the silence. When you sit in a boat in complete darkness with battened down the ceiling head, it gives the impression that you're in some kind of dreamland, and you have to shine inviting myriad of stars. Very exciting and wade moment.
In the end, when all of the most spectacular caves behind, allow the camera to get:
From the caves we went to Chateau Tongariro, the oldest hotel, built in 1929. On the way, often stopping to take pictures of nature:
The weather in New Zealand is very changeable. In the evening went to the rain, after which immediately climbed the rainbow:
And we came to the hotel again in the rain and fog, so the hotel itself, we found only 100 meters behind her, and the view from the window was closed viscous wet shroud of fog. After waking up in a room, I opened the curtains and saw the mountain:
Located near the top of Mount Ngauruhoe, "play" the role of Mount Doom Mount Doom in the movie "The Lord of the Rings»:
One of the attractions of the North Island - Highway through the Lost World. Its length is about 150 kilometers, and along the way no one filling. It is considered one of the most beautiful roads of New Zealand. We have set aside a whole day for a leisurely drive along it and admire the landscapes of Middle-earth:
Also abandoned railway stations trail passes through ghost towns, several tunnels, four pass and relic forest with tree ferns:
The tunnels on this highway are quite narrow - there is not a Hummer proedesh:
Despite the fact that we met no more than 10 cars of all time, the road is in excellent condition and is constantly being renovated. Pay attention to the slopes, all covered with a sort of "steps»:
These paths live dirty footmarks cows and sheep that graze on the slopes:
Along the route brambles. We try - very sweet:
Mountain View:
New Zealand beef and lamb are among the best in the world. And if in Argentina, also known for its meat, it is not always know how to cook, then this is all right. Kitchen - a real feast for the gourmet:
A herd of sheep, which we met on the way, turned out to be terribly shy:
Arina - Enchantress sheep:
Volcano Taranaki. Because of the resemblance to Mount Fuji, Taranaki was used as a backdrop in the film The Last Samurai:
Considered the most symmetrical volcano in the world:
The view from the observation deck at the bottom. Higher up on the machine can not be - only on foot:
The ultimate goal for today - New Plymouth, a small cozy town on the coast:
For 2 weeks in New Zealand pomochit feet in the ocean failed only 2 times and the first time was just next to New Plymouth. We found the beach and off the road. The sand on it of volcanic origin - shirt and black:
See what Christmas trees! That would have put these in the new year:
Sunset Hills in New Zealand:
The day ended ...
As we returned to the hotel it was dark. The day passed about 700 kilometers along the winding paths and order tired, that did not stop us the next day to spend much more intensely.
