The weißenberg, a fairytale river in New Zealand

The water flows from the Blue source to keep the temperature at 11 degrees throughout the year. This is one of the best sources in New Zealand.



The path to the source is along the trail next to the river, through the picturesque agricultural land. The whole trip takes about 90 minutes. In the upper reaches of the river Quietly the water is extremely clear and pure, with an intense blue hue.

This source supplies approximately 70% of drinking bottled water in New Zealand.





According to the local tourism office Hamilton & Waikato, water, Blue source with a rate 42 cubic meters per minute can fill a 25 meter swimming pool in about 12 minutes. The water comes from the aquifer to the Mamak after a long journey more than 100 years.

During this journey in aquifers from the water removes all the impurities and particles, leaving it with very high clarity and characteristic blue-green color.
