Botanical Garden Heller

One of the best botanical gardens, which only can be found throughout Europe, located within walking distance from the picturesque Lake Garda in the Italian province of Lombardy. Here, on two hectares of land, collected almost all the plants of the planet, which perfectly coexist with each other.
The creator of the "green miracle" in 1901 became Austrian dentist Arturo Hruska, landed on a plot of land near his home in the small town of Gardone huge number of plants that were brought from different corners of the earth. This decision contributed to a climate of these places.





Eighty-seven years the garden becomes the property of the influential artist André Heller, thanks to the new owner of the garden area enriched not only different kinds of plants, which today already there are about three thousand species, but also the works of famous painters and sculptors.







Among the artificial fountains and streams, small waterfalls and ponds clean perfectly coexist with edelweiss ferns and orchids, bamboo groves with rare cacti, but alpine plants found refuge among the rocks.



But not only the contrast of subtropical and desert scenery attracts this Italian tourist attraction. For special charm Botanical Garden Heller should be grateful sculptured statues and green maze of stone gargoyles.
