I'll start my story from the north-eastern part of the Vologda region. Here, on the banks of the river Nutrenki, are two of the village of St. Nicholas and the Great with his Nikolsko big houses. According to old-timers, most houses were moved here from the northern hinterland. And, indeed, in the nearby villages do not have such huge log homes. In Soviet times there has the largest economy, was the village council, clubs, schools and so on.
