Crocodile Whisperer
A 32-year-old Jose Eduardo Chavez Salas very unusual profession. If almost all of us feeding the crocodiles is a sentence to die, then it is a daily part of the job. Eduardo manages the program "River tours Jose" on the river Tarcoles (Tarcoles) in Costa Rica. Under this program, visitors can watch as he feeds crocodiles up to 17 feet (5 meters).
"First, it's very scary - to be close to these huge creatures in their natural habitat, but with time and practice the nerves calm down and you get used to them, - says Jose. - When you have an experience comparable to mine, you find a way to reduce the risk ".
Jose and his team careful and consistent in their dealings with the crocodiles. If crocodiles are protecting their young or very hungry, they are better to stay away, because in such situations, they can be more aggressive. One of the photos Jose crewmember even shows thumb, posing astride a live crocodile. "Spellcasters crocodiles" are based in the town of Tarcoles in Central Pacific of Costa Rica, about an hour's drive from the capital of San Jose, where he was born Jose.
"They are not so cruel and dangerous, if you are well studied their habits and know how to handle them," - says Jose.
