In slowly losing its former popularity night club "Burlesque" in Los Angeles, which is run by landlady Tess (Cher), gets a job, who came from the province, a young girl, Alice (Christina Aguilera). While all see it as a waitress that carry drinks on table. But it is not as simple as it seems at first glance. With outstanding voice and excellent dancing skills, Alice does everything to break into the scene.

And in one of those magical moments which happen only in the theater, with the support of new friends, Alice wins the audience with her performance club. It recently an unknown Alice comes to love and glory, crowds of fans and the attention of producers. But life is a rising star in reality is not so easy and cloudless as it seems from the outside. Soon Alice verifies this on their own experience.
