KUSTODIEV Boris Mikhailovich (1878 - 1927), the Russian painter, a gifted chronicler, a master of psychological portrait, author of book illustrations and theatrical designer, Kustodiev created significant works in almost all areas of fine art. But with the greatest force of his talent manifested itself in poetic paintings on the theme of national life, in which the artist managed to convey the inexhaustible power and beauty of the Russian soul.
