In August 2005, the infamous Hurricane Catarina swept through the territory of the State of Louisiana and caused severe destruction in the state capital - the city of New Orleans. Since then, it took five long years. During this time many houses were demolished, and the city has returned to normal. Though it can be called normal only partly because it was in New Orleans had the highest crime rate in the United States. According to official statistics in the city is home to only two hundred and fifty thousand people. And in 2007, in this city there were more than 119,000 violent crimes, of which two hundred and nine - murder.
