The success of Soviet brands is envied even by smart marketers of our days

In the USSR, technical progress and production did not stand still, but slowly (but surely!) developed. There were high-quality Soviet brands: they invented something themselves, they looked at something and copied it from Western competitors, they shared something with Soviet developers in a friendly way. It was remarkable that in the Soviet Union, the quality of manufactured products, be it perfume, chocolate or car, was monitored equally strictly and the production technology was observed.

GettyImages Edition "Site" We will tell you which brands we remember the most.

Soviet brands cake "Kievsky" - the dream of sweet tooth. The original dessert was born in 1956 at the Kiev confectionery factory named after Karl Marx. The history of the creation of this masterpiece says that his recipe arose as a result of an oversight of the confectioner. Who would have thought that someone’s “mistake” would be so pleased with the trinkets!

"Alenka" - a bar of chocolate, the taste of which is remembered by many. That is, they remember, because only the wrapper remained from her former. They began to produce chocolate in 1965 at the Red October factory, and it won over customers with its chocolate taste. Years have passed, and emulsifiers, stabilizers and cheap substitutes have done their job – chocolate is not the same, to put it mildly.

Cosmetics and perfumes Dzintars gained great popularity among Soviet fashionistas. The unusual perfume of this company was easily recognizable and famous for its resistance to weathering. The production association was formed in 1976 in Riga by merging existing companies.

Perfume "Red Moscow" and cologne of the same name were in great shortage during Soviet times. For the products of the Moscow factory "New Dawn" was a real "hunt"! The perfumes of this company began to serve as souvenirs, which were presented to foreign guests.

Zenit cameras have been in high demand among professional photographers and ordinary citizens since the first days of its release in 1952. It was an exact copy of the apparatus "FED", the release of which was established in 1934 in Kharkov. And FED itself was created in the likeness of the German high-quality Leica II. During the Great Patriotic War, the drawings were delivered to Krasnogorsk, and from 1948 the camera was produced under the name Zorky until 1952.

Refrigerator "Minsk" - a faithful friend of the Soviet hostess. In 1962, the Minsk factory of refrigerators began to produce household appliances, which later became popular abroad. Then a two-chamber refrigerator was developed on its platform, which became the first in the USSR.

Legendary cars GAZ-AA – the legendary “half”. The car rolled off the assembly line of the Nizhny Novgorod Automobile Plant in 1932. Since 1933, the plant was renamed to Gorky, and later it became known as GAZ Group. Initially, GAZ cars were assembled according to the drawings of the American manufacturer Ford Motor Company, the Soviet version had only an improved steering mechanism and clutch.

In the postwar years, designers dismantled the trophy "Opel" cogs, and a new "Victory" rolled out from the plant. In 1956, the indestructible Volga appeared - a car with a good "appetite".

“Zaporozhets” is a well-known “humpback” compact car with a rear engine, which in 1960 left the gate of the “Communard” in the city of Zaporozhye. The company was later called ZAZ - Zaporizhzhzhye Automobile Plant.

Many enterprises and factories exist today, but the quality of their products is often questionable. And then I want to voice my grandmother's phrase: "And here at the Union ..." However, there is nothing to miss about what has long passed. We need to move on and not stick to old habits. What do you think of that?
