Can you help a third-grader solve an elementary example?

Mathematical problems and pupils They are simply necessary, because they not only teach children to operate with numbers, but also help develop logical thinking. Therefore, it is in vain that many students dream that all these examples, equations, formulas and other wisdoms should disappear from the curriculum.

And instead of avoiding various mathematical tasks, it is worth looking fear in the eye. So today's editorial office. "Site" It offers to solve several examples from the school curriculum that can confuse even a fully grown and educated person. A great opportunity to test your strength!

Examples for schoolchildren
  1. The first example does not promise anything complicated at first. But when it comes to dividing by fraction, many not-too-diligent students start having problems. Although there is not so much complicated here, because even a junior student is able to solve everything correctly. Can an adult reader do that?

  2. As a second task, we offer interesting examples where you need to understand the principle of the number after the sign of the equation. You may even have to take out a calculator from the shelf to find out which number to enter instead of the question mark.

  3. And finally, we offer vivid examples where poultry adorns. And from the go it becomes clear that the strict rooster, as well as the fussy hens with chickens, hide different numbers. Can you figure out which numbers are hiding here to solve the last example?

Tips and answers
  1. Anyone who remembers school wisdom knows that dividing by 0.5 is like multiplying by 2. Therefore, we get a very simple and understandable example that will not be difficult to solve. Namely: 30 × 2 - 1 = 60 - 1 = 59.

  2. I had to think carefully about these strange examples. In the end, we found a pattern. For example, in the first example, the two in the cube should be multiplied by 2 + 2. Thus we get 23 × (2 + 2) = 8 × 4 = 32. The same pattern persists in other examples. 33 × 6 = 27 × 6 = 162 and 43 × 8 = 64 × 8 = 512. So 93 × 18 = 729 × 18 = 13122.
  3. As for the third task, we find from the first example that a gray hen with three chickens is 24/3 = 8. Then behind the strict rooster hides 16/8 = 2. And behind the yellow hen with two chickens is 6 × 2 = 12. In this case, behind a yellow hen with one chicken hides 8, and behind a gray hen with two chickens - 6. Then the last example becomes as follows: 8 + 6 × 2 = 8 + 12 = 20.

We hope that you managed to solve these difficult examples even without our prompts. In any case, share your answers and thoughts in the comments. And also solve our other problems, to always keep the brain in good shape.
