This story begins as the stories usually begin. Little boy Igor is a round orphan. He never saw his mom or dad, at least he didn’t remember. They weren't around anyway. Instead of an ordinary family, he was surrounded by teachers and other orphans from the orphanage. Each child had his own story, but the desires and hopes always coincided: to find a family. And Igor was no exception.

Despite the fact that Igor was quite sociable and was in a group of boys, he always felt lonely. It was the feeling of loneliness that pushed him to shoot. Wherever he lived, there was no family. At the shelter, his regular absence seems to have become accustomed. As a rule, by the evening Igor either returned himself or was found by other guys.

But this time Igor went beyond usual. He kept walking until his stomach rumbled. But he paid little attention to it. Igor was interested in walking to one house, which he constantly ignored. At first it seemed like no one lived there. But the presence of a dozen cats on the porch dispelled those doubts.



Having approached the house, Igor was able to see it better. It's normal, only cats are full. They ate fish and something near the house. But they didn't. Apparently they didn't. My stomach roared again. Igor thought that if so many animals were fed here, he would find a hump of bread.



The door of the house suddenly opened, and a woman appeared in front of Igor. She had bowls of food in her hands. She looked at the boy and asked if he needed anything. Embarrassed Igor asked for food, and the woman invited him to the house.

- Where will you come from? she asked Igor, putting a plate of soup in front of him.

Igor told about his life in the shelter. The woman listened attentively and at the end of the story she wept.

Her name was Valentina. Everyone knew her as the main cat of the village. They said it was from an unfortunate fate. My husband died many years ago and they never had children. That's what he does with these cats.



At the sight of the boy in front of the house inside Valentina, it was like something switched. Her first wish was to warm, feed and drink the child. Like he was her own. She did not imagine herself as a mother and had long since come to terms with her lonely life. But this boy was a revelation to her. As he spoke, Valentina became increasingly sorry that he was not her son.

When the child finished eating, Valentina said she would take him to the shelter herself. Talk to the director, too. All the way Igor and Valentina went and discussed everything. And when they got to the shelter, many children met them with surprised eyes.



Since that day Valentina began a long journey to the adoption of Igor. She had to sign many documents and go through several instances to finally become the adoptive mother of a wonderful boy.
