  1. First, you need to make a newspaper vine. For a medium-sized basket, you'll need about 70 flagella. Cut the newspaper into strips 8-10 cm wide. Roll each strip on the spoke at an angle, the upper tip should be slightly wider than the lower one. Secure the corners with glue.


  2. Take 4 newspaper tubes, take them and place the cross. Add more straws. For a small basket enough 5 tubes on one side and 4 on the other. Weave them as shown in the photo.


  3. Next, start weaving the bottom of the basket of one of the tubes, and take the tube from the part where there are 5 of them. This is one of the easiest types of weaving in one tube. Just circle it under and over the other newspaper tubes. When the vine is finished, just stick a new one to its edge.


  4. When you weave the bottom of the required diameter, set the shape inside the future basket, which you are going to braid, and raise the tubes vertically, bent them from below.


  5. Keep weaving to the right height. When you finish weaving, the protruding tubes must be hidden. To do this, rot each tube behind each other, and the ends of the gap between the horizontal bars and glue inside.
