Polish borsch recipe and why serve it in a mug

Polish borscht It is traditionally served directly in the cup. They like to cook for weddings and celebrations in Western Ukraine. No surprise, because it is convenient and interesting.



The dish is quite liquid, but it is more convenient to use it. After all, if you shove traditional borscht in cups, you will get some vinaigrette, also tasty, but not the aesthetic at all!

Borscht with pork ingredients
  • pork bones or broth
  • water
  • 2-3 beets
  • 5-6 tbsp sour cream
  • 1-2 tbsp flour
  • cumin
  • bay-leaf
  • vinegar
  • 0.5 tbsp sugar
  • green


Preparation
  1. In a medium pan, cook meat or pork bones into broth. Bones would be even preferable. Finished soup of strain.


  2. In a glass half filled with water, stir the flour and sour cream. Make sure there are no lumps.


  3. Put sugar and sour cream in the broth. Bring to a boil and pour bay leaf, cumin.


  4. Cook beets "in uniform", clean, sodium on a large grater and splash with vinegar or lemon juice.


  5. At the very end, add beets and greens to the boiling broth, bring it to a boil again and turn off the fire. This should be done so that borscht does not change its color.


  6. Let's get the wrestler in the mugs and invite the guests to taste it too.




As you probably understand, this liquid dish can be eaten even at night, because it is very light. The main thing is that the base, the broth itself, is not too brewy and heavy.



Some people like to eat Polish borscht as follows: pour it into a shallow plate, add mashed potatoes to it and wait for it to soak. Why not, because we need to enjoy the taste and enjoy it. Try it too, I'm sure it'll be the best!
