Why cook potatoes in a jar?

During the quarantine, many decided to go to the dacha. This is a great way to spend time in nature and breathe clean air. In addition to kebabs, you can cook something else. Like potatoes. It goes well with meat. There's a good known potato-preparation in a pot. But there may not be a special pot in the country - we will replace it with an ordinary can.

After I have tried this method, I cook only this way. The method is inherently unique: potatoes do not burn or boil. It's very satisfying and appetizing. And if you add more lard or bacon, you just get your fingers close.

The ingredients
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 400g lard
  • bulb
  • 15g butter
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation
  1. Let's make potatoes first. First it needs to be cleaned and then cut into pieces. You can cut in medium pieces with a vegetable cutter. The size of the potatoes is selected by the time you can spend cooking.

  2. Sending the potatoes to a big bowl. Add salt, pepper, vegetable oil and mix thoroughly. Then take the onions. Cut with rings, add to the bowl and stir again. Onions give juicy potatoes - it will not be so dry.

  3. Now let's make the lard. You can use salty or fresh. It can also be replaced with ham or bacon. With the addition of lard, the dish becomes especially “dacha”. Slice the salo in pieces. Add to the common bowl and mix well.

  4. Now we're taking dry cans. We lubricate each with butter. This is to ensure that potatoes do not stick to the walls. Now every jar is filled with potatoes. Then we take the foil and wrap the neck of the cans. Put them in the oven and heat it to 180 degrees. We leave to prepare for about 50 minutes. You can even do a little more so that the potatoes turn brown, become juicy and appetizing.

When the potato is ready, do not immediately remove it from the oven. The bank could burst. Wait a few minutes for the oven to cool. The cooking method is very convenient. While doing business in the cottage, potatoes are cooked. Wish you a good appetite!
