Planting strawberries on agrofiber
  1. We dig the soil and clean it of weeds.
  2. Fertilize the soil: 1 m2 take 1 bucket of humus, 2 cups of wood ash and 150 g of nitrogen fertilizers.
  3. We dig the soil again, level it.
  4. With the help of pegs, we mark our future beds.

  5. Stelim and securely fasten agrofiber on the bed with wire hooks. If you have agrofiber bands, they should overlap each other by 18-20 cm.

  6. On the stretched and fixed material, we make markings for future seedlings. The optimal distance between the rows should be 45-50 cm, between bushes - about 25-30 cm.
  7. For each bush, we cut on the canvas a cross-shaped hole 5x5 cm in size.

  8. Then pour a little water into the hole, wait until it is absorbed into the ground.
  9. We dip the roots of the seedling in clay chatter: It's better for plants to take root.. The chatter is done as follows: pour half a bucket of clay with water to slightly cover it, let it brew. After some time, thoroughly stir to the consistency of sour cream.
  10. We place the seedlings this way, socket leaves were clearly at the level of the soil surface. If you fall asleep with earth, the plants will rot, and if higher, they will freeze in winter.

  11. Put the roots in the holes, fall asleep with dry earth, compact.
  12. After the landing is completed, we water our beds abundantly. Repeat in 2-3 days in the morning or evening, until the seedlings take root. In the future, drip watering is recommended every 3-4 days. For strawberries, it is better when water flows directly to the root system.

Very important, by the way. Before planting, check each seedling.. Plants with sick, swelled leaves and roots are better to throw away. Plant only healthy, strong bushes to get a rich harvest.

As for the care of strawberries planted on agrofiber, it does not differ from the care of plants in the open ground. During the season, we feed the bushes twice with a solution of chicken or pigeon droppings. The first time in spring, when vegetation begins, and the second - at the end of summer or in September, during the ovary of future fruits.
