In Milan presented electric motorcycle Italian Volt

This week in Milan, the presentation of the new electric motorcycle Italian Volt. The creators of the sports bike Nicola Colombo and Valerio Fumagalli in 2013 set a Guinness world record, having made the longest run on an electric motorcycle. They covered the 12,379-kilometer route from Shanghai to Milan in 44 days. Then they started working on their own electric bike.

The basis of the Italian Volt is an aluminum frame with a cluster of lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 15 kW. They power an electric motor that transmits 94 horsepower or 70 kW to the rear wheel via a belt drive, producing a maximum torque of 208 Nm.

The maximum speed is limited to 180 kilometers per hour, and the range of travel on a single battery charge can reach 180 kilometers. The weight of the motorcycle is quite impressive 250 kilograms, and from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour it accelerates in 4.6 seconds.

The buyer can choose an individual motorcycle design from 12 shapes and many colors. All parts of Italian Volt are made by experienced manufacturers with a good reputation. So, the motorcycle received suspension from Öhlins and Brembo brakes. 17-inch wheels can be ordered from aluminum alloy or carbon fiber.

The Italian Volt is also equipped with a GPS TFT touchscreen display, which allows the driver to monitor speed, battery status and select different performance profiles by changing parameters such as torque and engine braking. Another interesting feature of the motorcycle is the ability to charge quickly – the batteries can be charged by 80% in just 40 minutes, while the usual charging of the batteries is about 3 hours.

The final price of the motorcycle will, of course, depend on the chosen design, but on average it will be about 35,000 euros.

P.S. And remember, just changing our consumption – together we change the world!
